Manuel “Manny” Jimenez

Manuel “Manny” Jimenez, MD, MS is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics & Family Medicine and Community Health at Rutgers RWJMS, Director of Research at the Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, and an Attending Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician at Children’s Specialized Hospital. He is the medicine discipline coordinator for NJLEND, New Jersey’s Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities program, a national network of interdisciplinary leadership training programs funded by HRSA and research director the developmental behavioral pediatrics fellowship. Dr. Jimenez’s work focuses on promoting optimal developmental health for children and their families and making the health system more responsive to their needs. He uses quantitative, qualitative, and community engaged research methods to ask policy-relevant research questions as well as propose and test sustainable solutions to real-world problems impacting children and their families. His work has been supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and others.  Dr. Jimenez served as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Bright Futures 4th edition National Preventive Care Guidelines Expert Panel, he is a co-editor of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, 5th edition, and is state physician champion for Help Me Grow NJ.
