Rutgers-Camden Faculty Leadership Program
The Rutgers-Camden Office of the Provost, in collaboration with the Rutgers Center for Organizational Leadership, is pleased to introduce a new academic leadership program. The target audience for this pilot initiative includes faculty in a variety of leadership roles on campus (e.g., department chair, area head, graduate director) who are interested in knowledge acquisition and skill development in areas relevant to their current roles and potential future roles.
Program participants will have the opportunity to a) discuss various concepts and strategies for effective leadership in higher education, b) explore relevant policies, processes, procedures and expectations for unit and department leaders at Rutgers-Camden, c) reflect on one’s individual aspirational leadership development goals and areas for potential growth, and d) engage in networking with other faculty who share an interest in leadership at Rutgers-Camden.
The pilot initiative will consist of eight sessions during the 2022-23 academic year. These sessions will include a combination of didactic content, panel conversations, peer discussions, and access to supplemental resources.
