Letitia Dean

Letitia Dean is the Associate Director of Research and Sponsored Programs within the Office for Research, where she is responsible for the leadership of a grants specialist team and the oversight of routine grant-related operations of the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) Newark as well as the Rutgers Newark Sponsored Programs offices.  She provides guidance and support to faculty and staff regarding complex grant and contract issues and serves as the authorized signing official for the Newark campuses. She represents the Research and Sponsored Programs office in the field by providing workshops and serving as a subject matter expert at department meetings and school level events.  She also oversees the management of university-wide limited submission funding competitions, management of the Office for Research internal funding competitions and the distribution of funding resources.  

Letitia has more than 20 years of Sponsored Programs experience.  She has earned a Bachelor degree in Business Management, a Master of Public Administration and is a Certified Research Administrator, CRA.
