Kandace Diedrick

Kandace Diedrick serves as the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs at Rutgers University’s School of Business-Camden, drawing upon over fifteen years of experience in higher education. Early in her career, she coordinated college preparatory programs at Rowan University and Kean University, showcasing her commitment to student success beyond traditional boundaries.

Her academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus in Africana Studies and a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University. She is pursuing doctoral studies in Public Affairs, focusing on black and brown communities. Committed to strengths-based coaching, she holds Gallup’s Global Strengths Coaching certification and engages in ongoing coaching workshops via LifeBound. Additionally, she has completed training in Frontline Supervision, Performance Management, and Leadership and is a Trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

In her current role, Kandace implements strategies for fostering student success and oversees a team of academic advisors and student experience officers. As a lecturer, she brings practical insights into her teaching, enriching students’ learning experiences.

Beyond her administrative duties, Kandace actively engages in community-building efforts and program development to support student well-being and success. Her involvement includes moderating speaker panels, representing the school at external events, and conducting workshops on various topics, including communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution.

With a philosophy centered on creating meaningful interactions and fostering inclusivity, Kandace exemplifies patience and dedication in giving back to the community. Through her multifaceted approach, she empowers students, staff, and peers, shaping a supportive and inclusive environment for those with whom she shares space.
