Jeff Friedman is Associate Professor of Dance Studies at Mason Gross School of the Arts. He is a working dance artist with national and international credits as well as a doctoral researcher in dance history, culture, philosophy and aesthetics, specializing in oral history theory, method and practice of embodied communication. He is the founding director of LEGACY Oral History Program (1988-2013, San Francisco Museum of Performance & Design) and teaches oral history training workshops nationally and internationally.
