Glenmarie Matthews

Dr. Glenmarie Matthews, is an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology (OBGYN), and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). She is the founding Chief of Complex Family Planning Division, as well as Associate OBGYN Residency program Director. She also services as the Medical Director of Title X program at Robert wood Johnson university Hospital. Dr. Matthews is also the Director of Ryan Residency Training Program at Rutgers Robert Wood Medical School, where she worked to create and manage the required OBGYN resident and medical student rotation dedicated to clinical training in Complex family planning. Dr. Matthews completed her OBGYN residency in 2016 at Rochester Regional health care system. She then completed her Fellowship in Complex Family Planning and master’s in clinical research at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY in 2018. Her current research stems directly and continues her passion to improve global and local women’s health and reproductive knowledge. Which as lead to her receiving multiple grants for reproductive health care expansion within NJ and globally. Currently her clinic focus is on expansion, development and implementation of Complex Family Planning services at both the medical school and hospital.
