Donnell Pierre serves as Associate Director of the Advisement Center at the School of Nursing where he has developed and facilitates the school’s staff mentorship program. In his time here at Rutgers he has also served as the manager of the Newark campus vaccination clinic. This clinic served Rutgers students, faculty, staff and the surrounding cities of North Jersey during COVID-19 pandemic.
He received a master’s of psychological studies and bachelor’s degree in psychology from Seton Hall University. In his time as a professional at Seton Hall, he served as a Student Development Specialist for the Educational Opportunity Fund as well as an adjunct professor for the College of Communication and the Arts. He was awarded the Hanbury Alumni Service Award from the Seton Hall’s College of Education and Human Services for his extensive work in creating a sense of belonging and community for African American Male Scholars
