Dr. Dixit holds a joint position as a Clinical Professor at Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy (EMSOP) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and as a Clinical Specialist in Critical Care at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH). Her responsibilities include providing care for critically ill patients, actively participating in daily rounds, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient care. She focuses on optimizing pharmacotherapy, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety, and promoting and implementing best practices. Dr. Dixit’s work is highly collaborative, as she is extensively involved in providing practical training to various learners at RWJUH and actively contributes to various committees at RWJUH, EMSOP, and national organizations such as the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. She is also engaged in teaching multiple courses as part of the EMSOP Doctor of Pharmacy didactic curriculum, coordinating classes in both fall and spring semesters, and delivering lectures in several therapeutic courses. Additionally, she has authored several peer-reviewed articles, with research interests in sedation, delirium, and sleep in the ICU, infectious diseases, and alcohol withdrawal syndrome in the ICU, among others. In July 2024, Dr. Dixit was appointed Vice Chair of Pharmacy Practice.
