Chanita Massenberg-Medina is a Senior Grants Administrator in the Office of Research at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), Newark. In this role, she oversees grant operations and guides faculty and staff on complex grant and contract matters. She also delivers training and workshops for faculty and staff development. With over 20 years of experience in finance, research administration, and institutional operations, Chanita has held various key roles at Rutgers University and its predecessor, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Her career has consistently supported academic, clinical, and research excellence across the institution. Chanita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Psychology. This combination strengthens her ability to balance financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and an understanding of human behavior in organizational settings. Beyond her professional responsibilities, She is an active volunteer mentor in the Rutgers Health Staff Mentoring Program. Through this initiative, she shares her experience and insights to support the growth and development of others as they navigate their professional journeys.
