Alexis White is the Academic & Faculty Affairs Administrator in the Dean’s Office at Mason Gross School of the Arts. In her role, Alexis supports and fosters the growth of academic programming and infrastructure at MGSA and supports faculty affairs processes across the school. She provides senior-level support to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the Dean, coordinates academic initiatives and events, collaborates with the Office of Advising & Student Success to support students, and organizes events such as the Mason Gross Commencement Convocation and Mason Gross Fall Welcome Assembly. Alexis also has over six years of experience in student advising, and advising continues to be one of her greatest professional passions.
Alexis earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in Linguistics and her master’s degree in Spanish-English translation from Rutgers University. She was a lecturer in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese at Rutgers and continues to leverage her language skills in her administrative roles. Most recently, she translated a comprehensive survey, promotional materials, and communications for Spanish speakers for the newly established Arts in Health Research Lab, a collaboration of Mason Gross, the School of Public Health, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Outside of work, Alexis actively serves her church community and has been a leader in A.LIFE Ministry for a decade. A.LIFE is a young adult ministry with iterations at Rutgers-New Brunswick, Kean University, and Montclair State University.
