Mark McGovern

Dr. Mark McGovern is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Behavior, Society and Policy at the Rutgers School of Public Health. His main research interests are in health, development, and labor economics, including a variety of topics in ageing, HIV, and maternal/child health. His main focus within these areas is on the life cycle impact of inequality at birth. His methodological work deals with missing data and causal inference, particularly the application of quasi-experimental approaches to address policy questions in population health related to health disparities. He is currently PI of a study funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development examining the health effects of labor market policies (R01HD110482).
