Susan Giordano serves as the Program Director of the Homeless and Indigent Population Health Outreach Project (HIPHOP) at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), Office of Community Health. In this position, she provides overall management of all HIPHOP’s initiatives, she has been in this role for 25 years of the programs 33 years. In addition, she serves at RWJMS as the Co-Director of Distinction In Service to the Community (DISC), assists with the coordination of the 1st year medical student course Community Engagement Service Learning (CESL) and is the Vice Chair of RWJMS Staff council. She is the co-chair of a community coalition and sits on various community and RWJMS coalitions, committees, taskforce and workgroups. Susan volunteers in many Greater New Brunswick area initiatives and events to maintain and nurture longitudinal meaningful community partnerships and serves as a RWJMS liaison to the community. She has training certificates and/or is certified in mental health 101, Domestic Violence and Matter of Balance (MOB). Her Bachelor’s degree was earned at College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, NY.
