Julie Roncinske

Julie Roncinske serves as an assistant dean for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences–Office of the Dean on the Rutgers–Camden campus. In her role, she focuses on initiatives that are key to the undergraduate experience, with a large emphasis on undergraduate research. Starting in 2006, Julie has coordinated the Celebration of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (CURCA), a year-end showcase of work conducted by Camden College of Arts and Sciences and University College–Camden students. With a deep understanding of the importance of collaboration, Julie has forged partnerships with all units on campus to create Research Week, an all-campus event that features research from faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students, and of which CURCA serves as the cornerstone event.

A two-time recipient of the Rutgers University–Camden Chancellor’s Staff Excellence in Service Award, Julie serves on committees such as the First Year Rutgers Experience (FYRE) Committee and the Commencement Committee, on which she takes a lead role in planning every aspect of the commencement convocation for the Camden College of Arts and Sciences and University College–Camden, the largest unit on the Camden campus.

In 2006, Julie received her bachelor’s degree in English and religion from Muhlenberg College and in 2013 earned her M.F.A. in creative writing from Rutgers–Camden
