Malica T. Dock is the Assistant Director for the IRB Reliance Team at the Rutgers University Human Research Protection Program/Institutional Review Board (HRPP/IRB). In this capacity, she manages the daily operations of the Reliance team, oversees reliance agreement review processes, and supports the overall functions of the IRB office. Prior to her current role, which she began in 2017, Malica served as the Assistant Director at the Rutgers Institutional Review Board, where she managed staff and operations at the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) campus.
With over 20 years of experience in human research, Malica’s expertise encompasses research, ethics, and compliance. She significantly contributed as a co-lead in Rutgers University’s initial Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) accreditation in 2022. In addition, Malica is a Staff Senator of the Rutgers University Senate and an active member of the Rutgers University Scarlet Honor Council, the University Hearing Board, and several other human research committees. She has also been a member of the Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) Membership Committee since 2019 and is involved with the Consortium to Advance Effective Research Ethics Oversight (AEREO).
