In addition to the multiple leadership development programs offered across the university, there are several resources that emerging, new, and current leaders can consult for their ongoing development. Below is a compilation of some of the recommended resources offered by the university to its community members.

Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA)

The Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA) champions academic excellence, gives strong support to undergraduate and graduate education, and advocates for equitable, inclusive, and cross-disciplinary research opportunities at Rutgers.

Workshops are offered each semester and are designed to inspire and offer practical guidance.

Rutgers University Equity and Inclusion (UEI)

UEI works to lead the charge for equity and inclusion so Rutgers university can better serve all of its students, faculty, and staff.

UEI engages staff and faculty in multiple initiatives including the Diversity Education Network, Faculty Diversity Collaborative, and the Rutgers Connection Network (RCN) Mentoring Program, and the website offers several helpful resources.

Rutgers University Human Resources (UHR)

UHR provides various professional development opportunities for Rutgers employees and offers links to other training providers across the institution.

Network for Change and Continuous Innovation (NCCI)

All efforts of NCCI trace back to the goal of advancing sustainable excellence in higher education by promoting successful practices and approaches used to drive change, innovation, and continuous improvement across academic and administrative functions.

Rutgers University has an institutional membership making this a free resource to faculty and staff to participate in workshops, events, and communities of practice, as well as access to a library of learning resources.

National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD)

NCFDD provides on-demand access to the mentoring, tools, and support needed to be successful in the Academy. We focus on four key areas that help achieve extraordinary writing and research productivity while maintaining a full and healthy life off campus: strategic planning, explosive productivity, healthy relationships, and work-life balance.

Rutgers University has an institutional membership making this a free resource to PhD students, postdocs, and faculty members to participate in webinars and writing challenges, and learn tips from their emails and newsletters.

Rutgers LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning features thousands of video tutorials and training resources about business, technology, and creative skills.

Rutgers provides free access to LinkedIn Learning for active faculty, staff, students, and affiliates. A variety of professional and leadership-related topics are covered through short videos, courses, and certificate pathways.
