We are pleased to announce that nominations are open until April 19th for doctoral student participation in the 13th cohort of the PreDoctoral Leadership Development Academy (PLDA).
PLDA is a university-wide, one year program designed to provide doctoral students from a broad array of academic disciplines with the supplemental knowledge and skills needed for academic and administrative leadership roles
The program consists of 24 virtual and in-person sessions on Friday mornings throughout the academic year from 9:00 to 11:00 am. There are 12 sessions in the Fall semester and 12 sessions in the Spring semester. A list of topics to be addressed in the program can be found here.
Nominations for participation in the PLDA should be submitted by program directors, advisors, department chairs, deans, vice-presidents, or other senior leaders who see leadership potential in the nominees.
To nominate a candidate for the program, click here to access the nomination form. Nominations for the next cohort of the program will be accepted through April 19, 2024. Nominees must submit their applications and supporting materials by April 26, 2024. Decisions will be announced in May 2024.
