On December 16, 2021, the Center for Organizational Leadership hosted an alumni network reception at the Livingston Student Center. Over 100 current and past participants of the Center’s academic leadership programs participated in the event, including representatives from the Rutgers Leadership Academy, Academic Leadership Program at RBHS, and PreDoctoral Leadership Development Academy. Dr. Ralph Gigliotti, Assistant Vice President for Strategic Programs in the Office of University Strategy and Director of the Center for Organizational Leadership, and Dr. Brian Ballentine, Senior Vice President for University Strategy, provided opening remarks to welcome the attendees, celebrate their various accomplishments as participants of these leadership programs, and introduce the keynote speaker, President Jonathan Holloway.
President Holloway offered an inspiring and reflective presentation, drawing upon his various experiences in academic leadership. He highlighted the centrality of treating others with dignity and respect and the importance of being able to disagree respectfully with others, and the value of participating in formal and informal opportunities for leadership development in higher education.
Future alumni learning and networking opportunities will be provided in the future. Please visit this website for more information regarding the Center’s portfolio of leadership development offerings.
