In December 2021, associate director of the Rutgers Center for Organizational Leadership, Dr. Christine Goldthwaite, moderated a virtual webinar with Susan Chapman-Hughes to discuss digital transformation and leadership. Ms. Chapman-Hughes has held numerous senior roles in Fortune 500 companies and currently serves as an independent director of the J.M Smucker Company. In this webinar, as part of the Rutgers School of Business Signature Leadership Series, Ms. Chapman-Hughes emphasized the importance of digital transformation for creating new opportunities and solving complex challenges. She also addressed growing challenges for leaders in technology related to issues of bias, the digital divide, and cyber security. Ms. Chapman-Hughes offered her perspective on the required skills needed to be a successful leader who can create lasting change within a work culture.
