A Guide for Leaders in Higher Education: Core Concepts, Competencies, and Tools, co-authored by Brent Ruben, Richard De Lisi, and Ralph Gigliotti and published by Stylus Publishing in 2017, was selected as the winner of the 2018 Sue DeWine Distinguished Scholarly Book Award, by the Applied Communication Division of the National Communication Association (NCA). NCA is the largest academic association in the communication field, and the Sue DeWine Award is given annually to honor an outstanding book within the discipline. The award was presented at the NCA 104th Annual Convention in Salt Lake City, UT on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
