First Rutgers Leadership Academy Cohort Completes Program

In April 2017, the first cohort of 29 faculty and staff completed the two-year Rutgers Leadership Academy (RLA)—a program for mid-career faculty and staff who aspire to broader leadership roles within their departments or units. This diverse group of RLA Fellows—15 men and 14 women, and 17 faculty and 12 staff—completed a wide array of impressive projects, under the guidance of their mentors.   The Fellows were recognized at a formal banquet on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. The curriculum for the RLA was published in a book by Stylus Publishing, entitled A Guide for Leaders in Higher Education: Core Concepts, Competencies, and Tools.  The program—run by the Center for Organizational Leadership (OL)—was featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
